Role Description: My main role is to represent the entire psychology student body. I support all other members of Psych Soc, overseeing committee functions, and logistic planning.

Fun Fact: My PB for the Half Marathon is 1:30:56

Favourite Psychology Course: Psych 390 with Dr. Risko. Felt this was the most applicable to my research goals.

Fun Fact: I travelled to 6 countries last year!

Role Description: My role is to help students make the most of the resources available to them, whether that’s planning courses or exploring opportunities. I also organize events like study sessions and info sessions.

Fun Fact: I love to play board games. My favourites are Castles of Burgundy & Imhotep.

Favourite Psychology Course: PSYCH 354 (Interpersonal Relationships) because I am very interested in relationship research.

Role Description: I am responsible for creating the content we post on our social platforms, as well as interacting with our community through those platforms in a meaningful way, while also promoting all the events!

Fun Fact: I’m an avid Real Madrid fan

Favourite Psychology Course: Psychopathology (PSYCH 257), it was so interesting and fun to learn about all the different psychological disorders and go into depth about them.

Role Description: As Events Director for PsychSoc, I lead the strategy and execution behind events that energize and unite the psychology student community. From concept to curtain call, I handle logistics and collaboration.

Fun fact: I love climbing mountains and biking

Favourite Psychology Course: I absolutely loved Developmental Psychology (PSYCH 211) because it has the ability to explain the 'why' behind the various human mechanisms.

Role Description: In this role, I help create a welcoming, comfortable, and fun environment for our psychology students through PSYCH SOC events and interactions. My goal is to uplift and support students as they grow and develop academic and professional careers.

Fun fact: I am almost done with a diploma in the Health Humanities here at Waterloo.

Favourite Psychology Course: Psychopathology (PSYCH 257) because it was something that I found really applicable to the real world.

Role Description: Role Description: I plan and organize engaging events and workshops that support psychology students in exploring career pathways, developing professional skills, and connecting with resources and experiences that enrich their academic journey.

Fun Fact: If I wanted to, I could spend the whole day boarding. It is that much fun!

Favourite Psychology Course: I really liked Organizational Psychology (PSYCH 238). I loved learning about human behaviour in the workplace.

Role Description: My role as a PMP Marketing Coordinator involves managing the PMP Instagram account and informing the student body about upcoming events, opportunities, and academic resources. The goal is to help psychology students feel informed, supported, and connected.

Fun Fact: I was on Team Ontario and represented Canada in Rhythmic Gymnastics

Favourite Psychology Course: PSYCH 336, Introduction to Clinical Psychology, as I hope to become a clinical psychologist, & this course provided solid background.

Favourite Psychology Course: My favourite course that I've done so far has been PSYCH 253 (Social Psychology). I found it very applicable to everyday life, and I think everyone can learn something new from taking the course, gaining practical insights that stick with for you a long time.

Fun fact: I love Horror movies!

Favourite Psychology Course: PSYCH 257, Psychopathology! I enjoyed getting to learn about different mental illnesses, specifically personality disorders and all their characteristics. I really appreciated this course for guiding me towards what I want to do in the future!

Favourite Psychology Course: Cognitive Processes (PSYCH 207) is my favourite psych course because it was so eye-opening to see the cognitive processes of how our minds function in specific ways!

Favourite Psychology Course: Psychopathology (PSYCH 257). I really enjoyed learning about different mental disorders and how they could potentially be treated because that’s an area I’m professionally interested in.

Role Description: My role pertains to managing inventory, merchandise, operations and finances for the lovely Tuck shop.

Fun fact: I know American Sign Language

Favourite Psychology Course: Child Psychopathology (PSYCH 317). Seeing the nuances in child psychopathology in comparison to adult psychopathology really opened my eyes to how diverse clinical psychology can be, showed me the impact of developmental factors.

Favourite Psychology Course: PSYCH 315, Psychology of Adolescence and Emerging Adulthood! The media and films were interesting to study. I looked forward to attending the lectures despite it being really late in the evening.

Favourite Psychology Course: Introduction to Psychology (PSYCH 101), because it provides a strong foundation for understanding human behaviour and  many areas within the field.

Favourite Course: Psych253 (Social Psychology) with Dr. Hester has been a blast. It explains so many iconic (although, unfortunately, sometimes very unethical) experiments, and Dr. Hester does a great job of teaching concepts with great enthusiasm and examples.

Fun fact: I have a dog named Finn and love iced vanilla lattes!

Favourite psychology course: My favourite psych course is probably PSYCH 238 - Organizational Psychology. Since I’m interested in business!  This course really looks at what drives motivation and productivity. It has also helped me understand myself better and how I work.

Role Description: As the Events Coordinator, I help design and run high-energy social and academic events that bring psychology students together. I love creating interactive experiences, collaborating with other teams, and constantly improving events by listening to feedback.

Fun Fact: I'm an only child

Favourite Psychology Course: Psych 261 with Dr. Smilek. He's an amazing professor with a passion to teach this class. The anatomy of the brain and its functions is fascinating to explore in such an engaging and insightful way.

Why: There are so many cool studies given as required readings around how different psychological and cognitive processes influence everyday financial choices and spending patterns.
